Sax ? you belong to the city and songs like this are they alto saxophones?

You belong to the city! electric blue ice house, maneater, its still rock and roll to me. Are these songs played with an alto sax? I no nothing of the sax, but my son wishes to learn. and im not sure what to buy him. obviously he wants a sax that sounds like the one's iin these songs i mentioned
